- General Conference of the LEFIS
network ("LEgal Framework for the Information Society" is a network
founded by the European Union Socrates Programme and gathers some 60 Universities
and some 20 private partners, all active in the field of regulation of the
Information Society) on "Digitalisation and Administration of
Justice", chairman on a session on "The use of
IT (and IT based networks) in the administration of justice" and
participation at the annual LEFIS General Assembly, August 30 - September
1, Zaragoza, Robert Queck.
- 15th Biennal Conference of the International Telecommunication Society
(ITS) "Connecting societies & markets: Communication technology,
policy and impacts", participation as member of the Program Committee
for this conference at the occasion of which some 250 papers were presented
and discussed in 13

- In the context of the setting up of a joint working group on "Networked
Society" by the Belgian
Internet Observatory and the Advisory Committee for Telecommunications, Robert
Queck has been invited to act as an expert. To start, the group will dedicate
its activities to issues concerning Voice over IP.
